TRY AGAIN.“Try again.”
“What?”
“TRY AGain.”
“You’re out of mind. This is the fifth time!”
“Well, you should have done it right the first time and this wouldn’t be the fifth time.”
He wanted to hit her. No, hitting her would not have been satisfactory enough for him at that moment. He wanted to murder her. Sure, he should have been used to this kind of behavior by now. They had been together long enough for him to be well-aware of her overly Type A, perfectionist personality.
And as if it wasn’t bad enough, she was definitely there to make it worse and remind of him of what he already knew.
“Don’t look at me like that. You’ve been with me long enough by now that you should know to do it right the first time.”
He really, really, really could kill her right now. He even had the thought of whether or not someone would blame him for it. Could a jury truly convict him if he could prove that she was type A and there was really no pleasing her when it was all said it done? Shit. Probably.
“You know, if I didn’t love you…”
“You’d murder me. I know. You don’t have to tell me again. Now. Try again.”
